About our Club

The first meeting in Easton to consider the organization of a Rotary Club was held on the evening of December 6, 1914 at Seip’s Cafe, when eight Eastonians met a delegation of nine Rotarians from Allentown. They explained the ideas and ideals of Rotary and urged those present to form a club for Easton. About a week later a meeting was held in the office of Luther B. Anthony with more input from the Allentown club.

On February 11, 1915, 27 people interested in becoming Rotarians gathered at the Hotel Huntington. A club was organized and application was made for a charter, which was presented at a meeting held on May 20, 1915. The Rotary Club of Easton was off and running!

During the Rotary year 2015-16 we were proud to celebrate 100 years of providing service to our community. In honor of this occasion we pledged an anniversary gift of $100,000 to purchase a truck and trailer for the Mobile “Healthy Food” Market project, part of the Kellyn Foundation. On Thursday, October 15, 2015 we met at Northampton Country Club for a Gala Dinner and Program.
