March 15, 2018. Dorothy Lindblad, Ritchey J. Ricci Teacher of the Year for 2017 reported to Easton Rotary on her use of the $1,000 grant she was awarded. Dorothy teaches Early Childhood Education at the Career Institute of Technology. She used some of the grant to purchase a number of award-winning children's books for her students to use in their practical work at the on-site day care Tech-Tyke Early Learning Center.
Dorothy also purchased standing desks for students who need a break from sitting for so many hours, and a Go-Pro camera to record various techniques and interactions. She is passionate about her work, and greatly appreciated both the recognition and the grant from the Rotary Club of Easton.
