February 22, 2018. Easton Rotary enjoyed a visit to the Career Institute of Technology. The student-prepared meal included avgolemono (Greek lemon and orzo soup), shrimp scampi, Mediterranean spiced pork tenderloin, moghrabieh risotto, asparagus, and a peanut butter & chocolate parfait. Our program featured the popular Student of the Month program. The following four seniors received $200 and the opportunity to apply for the Young Person of the Year Award:
February: Veronica Darno (Notre Dame) – Veronica serves as Student Council Secretary and Captain of the Cheerleading Team. She is in the National and Language Honor Societies, KEY Club, Chorus, and Peer Listening. She is a Mini-THON Captain and a Kairos Retreat Leader.
March: Isabelle Patterson (Wilson) – Isabelle is a two-time Captain of the Soccer Team and is also participates in Track and Field. She is in the Marching, Jazz, and Concert Bands and sings in the Chorus and Wilsonaires. She plans to pursue a Marketing career after attending Drexel University. She is active in KEY Club and is a Sunday School Teacher.
April: Chelsea Odom (Easton High and CIT) – Chelsea plays in the Marching and Concert Bands. She sings in the Choir and has made High Honors four straight years. She volunteers helping abandoned pets at a Wilson rescue center. She hopes to pursue a career as a cosmetic lab technician after attending school at FIT in Manhattan.
May: Connor Greene (Easton) – Connor is Treasurer of the National Honor Society and President of the Computer Science Club. He is the Webmaster for the Technology Student Association and a member of the Chess Club. He is active with the Boy Scouts of America and in the midst of completing his Eagle Scout project.
