For over a century, Easton Rotary has embodied the spirit of service above self. As we celebrate 111 years of service (1915–2026), this week’s highlights inspiring achievements, upcoming events, and exciting transitions within our club.

🌟 Spotlight: 2026 BJ Metz Young Person of the Year

Easton Rotary proudly recognized Vidvath Neeraj of Easton High School as the 2026 BJ Metz Young Person of the Year, marking the 30th anniversary of this prestigious award.

Vidvath’s accomplishments reflect an extraordinary balance of academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement:

  • Volunteered with the iCan Bike program

  • Redesigned the website for the Forks Area Art Society

  • Served as President of the School Symphony Orchestra

  • Held the role of Secretary for the National Honor Society

  • Organized fundraising initiatives and school music trips

  • Performed a 90-minute Carnatic violin concert raising $10,000 for the Allentown Hindu Temple Society

He will attend Lehigh University to study Computer Engineering. His passion, discipline, and service mindset embody Rotary values.

🤝 Volunteer Opportunities

We’re calling on members and community volunteers!

Bushkill Park 250th Celebration Party📅 Sunday, July 5🕐 Shifts: 12–2 PM or 2–4 PM

Help children enjoy hands-on fun with donated Crayola products. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up—at least three helpers are needed per shift.

🔄 Leadership Transition: A New Rotary Year Begins

We extend our gratitude to Outgoing President Lynn Schoof for a remarkable year of leadership. Key accomplishments included:

  • Creating 1,000+ paper cranes

  • Raising $2,500 for Second Harvest

  • Delivering 100+ teddy bears

  • Supporting community initiatives like the Miracle League

  • Hosting events and fundraising efforts

  • Recognizing outstanding students through awards and programs

We also welcome our new leadership team:

  • President: Audra Frank

  • President-Elect: Sue Herschlag

Audra expressed excitement for the upcoming year and reaffirmed her commitment to continued community impact and growth.

Easton Rotary is offering a unique fundraising opportunity:

With approximately 35% of inventory already sold, we encourage supporters to participate while supplies last.
