The Rotary Club of Easton continues to embody Rotary's motto of "Service Above Self" through meaningful community outreach, member fellowship, and support for local initiatives. Highlights from early August showcase the many ways our members are making a difference throughout the Greater Easton community. [
Supporting ProJeCt's Food Pantry
On August 6, Easton Rotarians Audra Frank and Lori Metz completed the club's monthly food delivery to ProJeCt's Food Pantry, helping ensure that local families have access to nutritious food. Through the partnership with Wegmans, a total of 508 pounds of food was collected and delivered, including:
275 pounds of frozen food
188 pounds of baked goods
45 pounds of fresh produce
These monthly deliveries continue to provide vital support to community members facing food insecurity and demonstrate Rotary's ongoing commitment to serving those in need.
Building Connections at the Easton Wine Project
Easton Rotarians gathered on August 6 for an evening social at the Easton Wine Project, enjoying an opportunity to connect, strengthen friendships, and discuss future club initiatives. Members spent the evening sharing summer experiences, exchanging ideas, and planning upcoming fundraising efforts while enjoying local food and wine. Events like these reinforce the strong fellowship that makes Rotary an effective force for community service.
Celebrating Lynn M. Schoof's Recognition
The club is proud to congratulate Lynn M. Schoof, Immediate Past President of Easton Rotary, on being selected to the 2026 Lehigh Valley Business Forty Under 40 Class. This prestigious recognition honors emerging leaders who have achieved professional success while making meaningful contributions to their communities.
Lynn's leadership, dedication to service, and commitment to improving the Lehigh Valley exemplify the values Rotary strives to promote. The entire Easton Rotary family celebrates this well-deserved achievement.
Looking Ahead: STEM and Youth Development
Easton Rotary remains committed to supporting youth education and leadership opportunities. Youth Services Committee Chair Gayle Rogers is organizing a special STEM Experience Mixer on August 20 that will showcase the experiences of three Easton Area School District students who participated in the STEM YEA program this summer. The event will provide members with an opportunity to hear directly from these students about the impact of STEM education and career exploration opportunities.
Exciting New Fundraiser: Boo Bingo
The club is also preparing for a new fundraising event, Boo Bingo, which will help support Easton Rotary's Youth Services projects. Members are currently seeking sponsorships, prizes, and raffle basket donations to ensure the event's success. Funds raised will directly benefit programs that serve local youth and strengthen opportunities within our community.
Rotary in Action
Whether delivering food to neighbors in need, investing in young people, recognizing community leadership, or bringing members together in fellowship, Easton Rotary continues to make a lasting impact throughout the region. We thank all of our members and partners whose dedication makes these efforts possible and look forward to another exciting season of service.
