Fall Into Service: Easton Rotary Gears Up for a Busy and Impactful Season

As the leaves begin to change and cooler temperatures arrive, the Easton Rotary Club is embracing the energy of the fall season with a full calendar of community events, fellowship opportunities, and service projects. From welcoming new members to preparing for our largest fall fundraiser, there's plenty happening throughout the coming weeks.

Boo Bingo Takes Center Stage

One event is at the heart of our fall efforts: Boo Bingo, happening on October 31, 2026, at the Palmer Fire Company. This Halloween-themed fundraiser promises an afternoon filled with bingo, basket raffles, door prizes, a costume contest, food, drinks, and opportunities to win exciting prizes, including gift cards to local businesses. 

More than just a fun day out, Boo Bingo directly supports the work of the club and its committees. Proceeds from the event help fund community service projects throughout the Greater Easton area, while basket raffle proceeds benefit youth service initiatives and 50/50 proceeds support public image efforts.

Members and community supporters are encouraged to:

• Purchase tickets and invite friends and family

• Share event information on social media

• Display event flyers in local businesses

• Donate raffle items or themed baskets

• Sponsor prizes

Supporting Community Through Fellowship

As Rotary members know, service starts with connection. The club's fall schedule includes several opportunities for members and guests to gather, network, and strengthen relationships.

District Governor Visit

On September 24, the club welcomes District Governor Jeremiah Sensenig for a special luncheon at the Pomfret Club. The meeting will also include the induction of four new members, marking an exciting period of growth for the club.

October Evening Social

The next Rotary social gathering will take place on October 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Easton Event Center in Palmer Park Mall. Members are encouraged to bring a friend and learn more about Rotary in a relaxed atmosphere.

Butterhead Kitchen Experience

On October 15, members will enjoy a unique cooking and networking event at Butterhead Kitchen. Participants will learn new recipes, enjoy a cooking demonstration, and spend time connecting with fellow Rotarians.

Service Opportunities Ahead

In addition to fundraising and fellowship, Rotary members have several opportunities to give back throughout the fall.

Northampton County Centenarian Luncheon

Members are invited to support longtime Rotarian Bob Bergren at the county's Centenarian Luncheon on October 1 at Green Pond Country Club.

Miracle League Trick-or-Treat Event

The club is seeking volunteers to help coordinate Rotary's participation in the Miracle League of Northampton County Trick-or-Treat event on October 25. Volunteers will assist with decorations, candy distribution, community outreach, and Boo Bingo promotion.

Boo Bingo Donations Needed

Preparations are already underway for raffle prizes and themed baskets. Community members and Rotarians can help by donating:

• Gift cards

• Bottles of wine or spirits

• Lottery tickets

• New designer handbags

• Themed basket items

Additional basket donations valued at approximately $50 are also being accepted. Popular themes include holiday celebrations, sports, self-care, wine and spirits, and fall favorites.

Looking Ahead

The coming weeks offer numerous ways to get involved, whether through attending a luncheon, joining a social event, supporting a fundraiser, or volunteering at a community project. Fall is shaping up to be one of the busiest and most exciting seasons for the Easton Rotary Club, and every member and supporter plays an important role in our impact.
