Last week Chair Mark Haldaman presided over another edition of Students of the Month. Over the years, Mark has thoroughly enjoyed the chance to engage with these amazing students and also with the administrators who provide so much guidance and support. Long-time
CIT Staff Member Jenn Russ spoke of how the CIT students do things at a college level in fields including HVAC, automotive, electrical, cosmetology, and special education. The students learn professional development skills such as public speaking, resumé writing, and classroom management.
Mark gave out certificates and $200 awards to the following students:
March: Hans Kuder – Wilson Area High School: Hans plays in several School Bands and is the only student who plays the French horn. He is in the Drama Club and has participated in 4 plays and 4 musicals. He is Captain of the Cross Country and Track teams and participates in Scholastic Scrimmage. He serves as Secretary for the Health Occupation Students of America and is Vice President of the Presidents Council. Hans plans to study biomedical engineering and eventually have a career as a doctor in oncology or cardiology.
