Our program featured the popular Students of the Month program. The following High School Seniors each received a certificate and $200.
January: Zafir Uiya - Easton: Zafir is Vice President of the German Club, Captain of the Scholastic Scrimmage Team, and the Chess Club. He is a national Merit Finalist and plans to attend Harvard Summer School. He enjoys history, politics, and video games. He will be attending Columbia University to study political science with hope of continuing to law school.
February: Alexis DiSora - Notre Dame: Alexis Plays Soccer and Track. She is in the National Honor Society, KEY Club, THON, and the Yearbook Staff. She volunteers singing carols at nursing homes, Toys for Tots, and the Miracle League. She will attend Shenandoah University to study elementary education and biology.
March: Jillian Pote - Wilson: Jillian is in the National Honor Society, Student Council, Scholastic Scrimmage, and the International Club. She plays Soccer, Track, and is Captain of the Cross Country Team. She is a National Merit Finalist and has volunteered on two Church missions. She wants to study mechanical Engineering and hopes to attend MIT.
April: Blain Washington - CIT (Easton): Blain is a top student in the HVACR program and competes in Skills USA. He may continue his education at NCC or opt to enter the workforce directly after graduation.
